|Job Summary: Serves as technical and administrative support for the human resource department. Carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: employment, recruitment, HRMS and data management, employee relations, training and development, FMLA/ LOA, new staff orientation, performance management, maintaining confidential employee files and HR filing system, and assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office. Helps with the implementation of services, policies, and programs; reports to the HR Manager. |

REQUIRED: High School Diploma or GED and one year office experience.
Demonstrated working knowledge and practical application experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and data base software as well as e-mail utility. Professional-level verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, multi-tasking and organizational skills required. Familiarity with Human Resource office functions. Must be able to work on and prioritize assigned tasks while faced with multiple interruptions. Must be able to process highly sensitive and potentially critical information, while maintaining confidentiality. Patience. Ability to interact effectively with different personalities.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field and one year experience in human resources, benefits, or personnel administration. Experience in healthcare field and/or academic institution and general knowledge of federal laws pertaining to Human Resources (FLSA, AA/EEO, ADA, FMLA, and ACA).
