|This Student Affairs Specialist position in the Fairbanks School of Public Health will provide administrative assistance to the Student Services staff and faculty. |
Primary Responsibilities Include:
• Coordinate orientation, graduation, and other events • Answer inquiries via phone, email and in person • Maintain student and alumni listervs and send announcements to students • Maintain student and alumni listervs and send announcements to students • Collect and analyze applicant / student / alumni data • Schedule interviews and meetings and take minutes • Audit student records at the end of each term • Disseminate, collect and summarize course evaluations each term • Order text books, class supplies, etc each term • Provide additional administrative assistance to the Student Services faculty and staff as requested
Successful candidates should have strong verbal and written communication skills; outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to work well in teams; excellent computer skills; ability to prioritize requests and work independently; and ability to perform well under pressure with time constraints. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Excel, and Outlook. Preference is given to those with experience in SIS and IUIE.
|Required:High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 -5 years administrative assistance experience and 2 years of college experience preferred. |
