9317 - Assistant Director, Student Services, Kelley School of Business

Job Summary: Advises online graduate business students in order to assist them in meeting their academic and professional goals and proposes new advising plans and techniques as needed. Assists students in choosing degree programs; develops academic plans for degree completion; recommends strategies and priorities for successful course and degree requirements; and suggests appropriate career information resources. Collaborates with faculty and staff to assist students with: transfer credits; waivers; academic plan changes; probations; incompletes; curriculum requirements; graduation eligibility; and, other issues related to registration for courses, course completion, and degree completion. Provides support to faculty teaching courses which involve travel abroad. Assists with the development and management of a range of student services programs, from orientation to graduation.

REQUIRED: Master’s degree and two years of experience in higher education student services, admissions, enrollment management or other higher education experience.

Proven record which demonstrates ability to plan and lay out complex problems, sell products, services, and programs or ideas. Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, social networking tools, and word processing. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Familiarity with IU systems such as the SIS and the IU eApplication,

Preferred: Knowledge of IU degree requirements as well as university rules and processes.
