8900 - Assurance Programs Analyst, VP University Regional Planning & Policy

Provide technical leadership and guidance in designing and implementing the information architecture for Assurance Programs, along with related or supporting tools and software (such as a content management framework, communications tools, additional necessary development/programming, and the underlying infrastructure).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

•Manages accounts and access controls that facilitate access by assurance staff and to general users of assurance systems; develops and provides training as necessary.

•Coordinates with University Information Technology Services (UITS) for services that involve hosting servers, applications, or other components.

•Works with Assurance Specialists to develop an understanding of the goals and strategies of various assurance activities, and participates in research, procurement, implementation, and administration of supporting systems.

•Interacts with university assurance officers (compliance, risk, privacy, security, audit, etc.) to gather requirements, and develop solutions.

•Coordinates with other major applications (Student, HR, Financial, etc.) managers and systems administrators to ensure appropriate integration Interact with outside service providers and vendors.

•Maintains a high level of technical competence by obtaining training and attending appropriate conferences and other professional development opportunities.

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Business Systems or related technical discipline, plus 3 years of systems analysis and administration experiences is required, including applications research and implementation. Experience analyzing business processes and developing technical solutions. Experiences in developing web applications. Advance experience with computers and word processing/spreadsheet/email/database software systems. Combination of related education and experience may be considered on a 2:1 ratio.
