8829 - Office Coordinator


The Office Coordinator is the primary administrative support person for the School of Journalism at IUPUI, serving as the key liaison for faculty, staff, students and guests. Serves as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers of the school, providing accurate information about the program. This person also serves as the financial and human resource representative for the school.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing information to a diverse group of people to enhance their knowledge of the School of Journalism; processing purchase orders, disbursement vouchers, audit vendor invoices and resolve any problems; keep inventory of office supplies and equipment. Will process all hiring/personnel paperwork/electronic documents for faculty and staff and maintain accurate records ensuring all is current. Will assist with all aspects of course scheduling. Provide assistance with school events and hospitality.

To be successful candidates should have outstanding communication and organization skills and ability to interact with a wide variety of people.

 
Required: High School diploma, plus 3-5 years of related experience; or 2 years of college with 2 years of related experience.

Preferred: Knowledge of MS Office and IU Systems.
