8811 - Project Manager: Events and Marketing, School of Public Health-IUB

Project Manager: Events and Marketing This part-time hourly position coordinates and plans School special events related to alumni activities, special development activities and related events as assigned. Coordinates meetings and events for Dean’s Associates Board and School Alumni Board and manage logistics and other administrative matters including site selection, catering, speakers, entertainment, etc. Prepare itineraries for event participants and coordinate individual schedules. The incumbent will set event related budgets, review planning event policies and procedures and prepare detailed reports after events to analyze cost breakdown, attendance, and recommendations for future events. Also advises school departments on accepted events-related policies and procedures, respond to request for information by staff, students, faculty and school administrators, and develop and maintain complex files and databases relating to special events. The incumbent will assist the Director of Marketing and Communications with various assignments related to School communications and marketing programs, and assistant with design, topic and content input for the School and unit web sites including regular news features, alumni profiles and events calendar functions. Assist with print and electronic media to create Public Health Dimensions (annual magazine), the School’s Annual Report, and multiple e-newsletters to alumni, friends, donors, corporations and foundations. Assist with design, development and preparation of promotional, recognition, cultivation and solicitation materials. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2013. Pay rate is commensurate with level of skills and experience. Work hours are flexible; some nights and weekends may be required during special events.

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree is preferred. The ideal applicant has event marketing and management experience as well as communication, design and media experience.
