8660 - House Staff Administrative Coordinator


The purpose of this position is to coordinate and serve as administrative support for the day-to-day activities for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. In addition this position will serve as a liaison between House Staff Affairs Office, the Chairman's office as well as other departments, campus visitors and house staff and faculty.

Specifically, this position will provide administrative support for the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program including assisting in the management of the program and serving as a department resource to residents, providing administrative support to the Program Director and Program Administrator, maintaining written and verbal communication with house staff residents, maintaining employment files for each resident.

This position also involves managing, coordinating, and providing administrative support for operational facets of the Internal Medicine Residency IMPACT program, scheduling resident applicant interviews and coordinate interview day during Recruiting season and assisting the Program Administrator with the coordination of Medicine Residency on boarding activities, attending Residency Program meetings, and managing the end of the academic year activities for the House Staff.

To be successful the candidate should have good problem solving abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills, have excellent computer skills with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft programs.

 
Required: Associates degree/ 2 years of college in business or equivalent from an accredited institution, plus at least 1 year program coordinator experience in an academic setting or High School diploma plus 3 years’ program coordinator experience in an academic setting.
