8450 - Custodial Area Team Leader
|The Campus Facility Services Department is seeking a Custodial Area Team Leader. This position will provide structure, training, and oversight for entry-level custodial employees, assist supervisor in total operation of Building Services, and perform routine custodial responsibilities. The incumbent will monitor work for quality, accuracy, and completeness to ensure compliance with departmental sanitation standards. The Custodial Area Team Leader will provide coverage for other Custodial Area Team Leaders and fill in for custodial vacancies as needed. |
The successful candidate must have knowledge of general cleaning procedures and equipment, and effective leadership techniques. The candidate must have the ability to work in a team environment and be able to interact and communicate with a wide variety of people. The ability to read and write English, to use a computer, to understand and follow oral and written instructions, and to make judgment decisions and calculations for mixing chemicals is essential. The candidate must be able to follow safe work practices, and lead people and processes.

Required: High School Diploma or GED. One (1) year custodial experience and demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred: Valid driver's license and ability to meet the university driving privileges policy.
