8379 - Report Analyst
|The Report Analyst supports the organizational business needs as they relate to the reporting of information. This includes the gathering of business requirements, the identification of options to meet the needs, and to bridge these needs with the use of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools. |
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to acting as a liaison and facilitator between business and technology units; leading projects to develop user requirements and specifications for new or revised reports and/dashboards a well as provide issue tracking and quality assurance testing. The Report Analyst utilizes analytical skills to support the design and build of standard and ad-hoc reports to be made available to internal recipients as well as external partners and federal agencies.
To be successful the candidate should have knowledge of relational data models and OLAP cubes. Report building, basic SQL knowledge, quality service standards, strong verbal and written communications, critical thinking skills, problem solving skills, time management skills.
|Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in computer science, information systems or related field, plus 3-5 years’ experience or combination of experience/education at a 2:1 ratio, to include experience in analyzing data and the production, verification, and delivery of reports. |
Preferred: Knowledge and skills in Microsoft BI stack (SSRS, Excel Services, PowerPivot, and PerformancePoint) and Microsoft SharePoint.
