8316 - Computer Support Technician

Provide technical support for the IU Department of Medicine and requires a basic working knowledge of PCs, printers, peripherals, PDAs, hardware and software, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office, and both Windows and MAC operating systems. Will assists with the purchasing and management of equipment and software.

A proven team player with excellent oral communication; analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; and a high degree of professionalism is a must to work with faculty and staff of all levels and with varying degrees of technical knowledge. Also requires the ability to lift, move and transport equipment using manual push carts and motorized utility carts.

Required: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a computer or related field plus at least 6 months related experience; or Associates degree from an accredited institution in a computer or related field plus 3 years related experience; or high school diploma or equivalent with 5 or more years related experience.
