8302 - Associate Director of Educational Partnerships and Student Advocacy


***Revised Qualifications***

This position reports directly to the Director of Educational Partnerships and Student Advocacy and will provide insight in strategic planning, office management, and overall program development for all the areas within EPSA. This position will serve on a variety of committees within the Division of Student Life and in University College.

This position is responsible for developing and supervising curricular and co-curricular programming/services for prospective students, entering students and continuing students to increase their campus involvement, community engagement and academic success. The position is responsible for the recruitment, hiring and training, and supervision of staff specializing in parent and family programs and student advocacy services.

Key duties and responsibilities: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff specializing in parent and family programs and student advocacy services as well as a graduate assistantship position; Develop and manage curricular and co-curricular programming/services for prospective students, entering students and continuing students to increase their campus involvement, community engagement and academic success; Create partnerships across campus and within the community to develop curriculum for orientation, new student welcome, admission recruitment programs, student involvement and leadership programs.

This position is responsible for developing and supervising curricular and co-curricular programming/services for prospective students, entering students and continuing students to increase their campus involvement, community engagement and academic success. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring and training, and supervision of staff specializing in parent and family programs and student advocacy services.

 
Required: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in higher education, student affairs, or related field plus 5 years of experience in higher education. Supervisory experience required, along with experience in college student advocacy, campus programming, admissions, or first-year experience programs.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build partnerships across divisional lines. Ability to work effectively and ethically across cultural differences. Extensive experience in program planning and development, especially for first year students and families preferred. Understanding of policies and procedures, management of multiple tasks and problem solving. Must have ability to make sound decisions independently.
