8279 - Assistant to the VP for Engagement, Vice President for Engagement
|Job Summary: Manages and coordinates business, human resources, and administrative activities necessary for the operation of the Office of the Vice President for Engagement in compliance with IU policies and procedures. Responsible for management of office’s strategic plan and related operational functions associated with execution and accountability. Directly supports and assists the vice president, assistant vice president, and president in day-to-day operations. Organizes and manages office communications and mailings; prepares presentations; schedules appointments; and arranges background materials and agendas for review. Initiates actions for the development, maintenance, and upgrades of computerized records and related university systems. Assists with and performs special projects. Maintains and reports representation, operational, and supplemental budget figures to Vice President on completed and anticipated expenses, projects, and memberships/sponsorships. Works closely with RC fiscal officer to plan, build, and operate budget. |

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and two to five years of executive-level administrative support experience.
Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Proficiency with word processing/database/spreadsheet software; ability to maintain website information; and knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment. Good communication, organization, event management, and bookkeeping skills. Ability to analyze complex information, exercise independent judgment, and effectively supervise other personnel.
**NOTE: This position is located at the down town Indianapolis office.**
