8225 - Network and Security Administrator, Athletics

Job Summary: Designs and implements processes for deploying and maintaining the 800+ administrative computers and 100+ mobile devices used in all facets of IU Athletics - including business office applications, highly specialized in sports-related software, recruiting software, and academics.

Ensures that all systems are secured and free of unneeded critical data; and works closely with the Athletics Ticket Office, Treasury, UITS Networking and the University Information Security Office to ensure a secure and effective PCI compliant network environment, as well as design and maintain necessary point of sale (POS) infrastructure for high-capacity ticketed events.

REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree in information systems/computer programming or related technical discipline and three years of experience in system development and maintenance associated with administrative support applications.

Combinations of related experience and education levels will be considered.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of PCI compliance and SAQ D requirements. Expert experience in one or more of the following areas: Administration of SCCM 2007 or 2012; Windows Workstation and Server security (firewall, IPSEC, networking, threat detection and prevention); LAN network security; Windows Server administration. Knowledge of the following systems: WSUS, ADUC, GPMC. Possess excellent writing skills; and excellent communication skills for interacting with high-level university administrators, departmental administrators, coaching staff and IT professionals.
