8050 - Project Coordinator, Education


Job Summary: Works with project managers and faculty project directors to complete projects to the satisfaction of funders who have awarded contracts or grants to the center for P-16 research and collaboration. Completes project activities and deliverables as described in the respective project proposals by developing and implementing detailed and appropriate action plans, timelines, and methodologies. Plans and manages logistical, technical, and production details of the projects. Works with K-12, university, and community personnel to coordinate the use of space, equipment, labor, and other resources to keep assigned projects on course for timely and satisfactory completion. Assists with the production of hard copy and electronic proposals to potential funders and drafts materials and documentation for existing funders. Conducts research, gathers data, and organizes and interprets data for use in key reports or proposals.

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree and one year of administrative experience including or supplemented by project planning and implementation experience.

Ability to organize and manage projects, work independently and collaboratively with others, and communicate effectively with a diverse population of education stakeholders. Willingness and ability to learn advanced-level skills in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, and strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred: Experience acquired in an education or business position that utilized proficient writing skills.

Note: This is a soft money position and is currently funded for two years.
