Job Summary: Provides executive assistance to the Executive Associate Director of the Center for Research in Extreme Scale Technologies (CREST). Manages daily administrative and operational activities; manages all meeting requests, logistics, and travel arrangements; and organizes and manages office communications and correspondence. Assists with faculty affairs, financial matters, and project management.

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and three years of office environment experience.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to use tact and diplomacy with a variety of people; strong analytical and planning skills; and ability to independently manage competing demands and determine priorities. Ability to work under pressure in a high-production environment, maintain a professional demeanor, and make careful decisions. Ability to work both independently and in groups while being detail-oriented and seeing projects through to completion.

Ability to multi-task using good time management skills; excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; and a basic understanding of business. Ability to conceptualize and organize project planning processes and ability to write and prepare effective communications for distribution to the intended audiences. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and with office machines including computer, scanner, phone, copier, and fax.

Preferred: Familiarity with LaTeX.
