7680 - Office Services Assistant, School of Public Health-IUB


Job Summary: Provides general office support for the School of Public Health-Bloomington’s (SPH) Dean’s office. Greets and assists faculty, staff, and students coming into the Dean’s fiscal/HR office suite; processes payroll and HRMS e-doc actions; handles purchasing, travel arrangements, and P-card reconciliation; and has research council support duties.

REQUIRED: High school diploma or GED and one year of office experience, preferably including payroll responsibilities.

Knowledge of university payroll procedures, computer and Microsoft Office programs, and standard office equipment and procedures. Ability to work under deadline pressure and with constant interruptions; ability to perform accurate mathematical calculations; and good organizational skills. Exemplary interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to keep information confidential. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, IUIE, KFS and EPIC through OneStart a plus.

Preferred: Some college and two years of experience in a professional office environment.
