10374 - Capital Asset Control Analyst, Treasurer's Office

The Capital Asset Control Analyst’s primary job responsibility is the creation of all capital assets for the university. This includes: processing non-moveable and moveable equipment through the Capital Asset Builder (CAB), ensuring both purchased and gift in kind assets are created correctly, and monitoring both capital and expense transactions to ensure that asets are classified appropriately following university policy guidelines and Capital Standard Operating Procedures. This position is also responsible for providing customer service to departments regarding the creation of assets, the completion of capital asset sections of financial documents and purchase orders, and any other specific capital asset documents. In addition, this position provides assistance with system documentation, training, and testing of the system.

REQUIRED: Two year Associates degree in Accounting or related field, two years of accounting/bookkeeping experience, and one year of customer service experience. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and detail-oriented organizational skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; ability to work well independently and collaboratively and to exercise initiative and independent judgment; completion of tasks in a timely manner and with extreme accuracy.

Preferred: Knowledge of IU policies and procedures and familiarity with IUIE and Kuali Financial System (KFS). Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week. Salary Range: $14.00-$16.00 per hour Resume and cover letter required. Applications accepted until March 6, 2014, or until the position is filled.
